Tokyo Teppanyaki

My friend and I have wanted to eat at Tokyo Teppanyaki for quite sometime now and as soon as we saw the 10 course Tokyo dinner set for two for $79 on Groupon we were sold! However I think this time round money got the better of us, as the meal wasn't quite what I had expected. We were seated swiftly at 6.30pm and the meal was over by 7pm, much to my disappointment.

The chef was constantly cooking and passing us small bits and pieces to eat, it reminded me of a mass production line. Also hardly any of the courses were Japanese as were were fed pork chops with garlic butter, omlette, noodles and bits of beef. The only part which was Japanese was my starter, boo! In attempt to make up for the downfall of the meal I ordered fried ice cream for dessert which unfortunately was average. The batter was heavy, thick and tasteless for something which was called 'tempura' ice cream. I've had fried ice cream where the batter is light, crispy and melts in your mouth. Nothing about my meal was good, I really did try to like Tokyo Teppanyaki but I was just left disappointed and would have been a very unhappy customer if I had paid $79 for one person.
