My friend from Australia came to visit and was curious to see what Yo Sushi was like. I don't tend to eat at Yo Sushi unless they have offers on their website, but today was an exception. From when I last ate here I noticed they had buffed up their menu since, I chose the set menu Fill Me Up, this included: duck gyoza with moromi miso sauce, chicken katsu curry, vegetable yakisoba and salmon and avocado hand roll for £12.50, which I thought was reasonable.
The food was average, which is why I don't like paying full price here, I think its quite expensive. Nonetheless I do like the concept of having the sushi moving along the conveyor belt and that everything you need is in front of you like water, condiments and buttons to hail the waiter.
For those who haven't experienced Yo Sushi you basically seat yourself down and pick what you want from the conveyor belt, where each plate is colour coded with a price. There is also a menu, which has everything Yo Sushi has to offer and you can order anything from the waiter. At the end of the meal, the number of plates you have are tallied up and the total cost is calculated from the colours of the plates. I do like the atmosphere and I find its usually a good place to catch up with friends at.
