I'm not usually a big fan of eating at large chains, especially in the UK but I was with a group of friends and someone had a cheap deal on Vouchercloud so we decided to embrace it. The deal was for Pizza Express where three courses was around £12, but you could only pick from a limited menu. For starters I had the garlic bread with mozzarella, which I thought was below par. It wasn't that garlicky and the cheese just sat in the middle of the bread roll. The pizza on the other hand was actually very good. I chose the Padana Leggara, which was a light, thin and crispy based pizza with salad in the centre. The topping was goat's cheese, caramelised onion, spinach, red onion and garlic oil. I loved the caramelised onion with the cheese and could have eaten that only. Finally for dessert I had the cheesecake with ice cream, which was average. It wouldn't have surprised me if it was mass produced and factory frozen.
