When you first step into the restaurant its clean, simplistic and what drew to my attention first was the large fish tank on the side. We took our seats and the waiter kindly pointed out to put our phones in a safe place, as they had incidents where thieves would scoop off peoples' phones from the table as they ate. The menu was easy to read and well priced for London. I chose the fish and chips and my boyfriend had the whole roast chicken with chips. The food came out quickly and hot. The portions were so large that another plate would have been handy on the side to move the food around. Nonetheless, the chips were good, they were soft and fluffy inside and had a nice crunch as I bit into it. The fish was my favourite, the batter was so crunchy and light.
I tried the roast chicken which was really good as well, the meal my boyfriend had was probably enough for two people. Our overall experience was a good one, the only downside was that my boyfriend first ordered a Lucozade, which was out of date. The waiter then apologised and changed it for a soft drink.
I would recommend this fish and chip shop for anyone who craves a decent chippie at a very reasonable price.
